ApeSwap is monitoring the ongoing situation with Multichain. Multichain's founder was arrested in China, and some Multichain services are beginning to experience issues. If you are concerned about recent developments with Multichain, here's what you can do to protect any BANANA you own.
If you have any BANANA tokens on Polygon, Arbitrum, or Ethereum, you can bridge those tokens back to BNB Chain where they are not exposed to any Multichain bridge contracts.
Out of an abundance of caution, ApeSwap is going to take action with any protocol-owned BANANA that are currently using Multichain's bridge contracts. This includes removing protocol-owned BANANA liquidity from Ethereum and temporarily pausing BANANA rewards on the BANANA-MATIC Polygon Yield Farm.
We will keep the community up to date on any further developments, and intend to move the liquidity back to Ethereum and restart rewards on the BANANA-MATIC Polygon Yield Farm as soon as possible.
